Terror on Tucker Street returns for a frightful Halloween night

Halloween is just around the corner and Terror on Tucker Street has reappeared for the annual spooky night.

In its sixth year, the event has raised both cash and food donations for the Arthur Food Bank.

Lisa Henderson, who plans and decorates the maze, says it is a completely new thrill this year. She added it takes the whole month of October to get the maze up and running.

High school students and food bank volunteers help Henderson with the annual fright night.

“I was out there last night because my dog actually went out and got lost in the maze and I had to go find her just using my phone flashlight, and I was like ‘oh my gosh I hope I didn’t make it too scary this year.’ I was giving myself the creeps out there looking for my dog,” she said with a laugh.

While not mandatory, visitors are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation or monetary donation for the Arthur Food Bank.

“It’s a good community event and the kids love it. You hear the kids talking about it for weeks before and afterwards,” said Henderson.

“I love the holiday.”

Terror on Tucker Street is open from 6:30 until 9pm on Halloween night at 191 Tucker Street in Arthur.
