MOUNT FOREST – A North Perth teenager has been charged in connection with two recent break-ins at businesses here.
On March 27 at about 11:30pm, Wellington County OPP officers responded to an alarm at a business on Main Street South in Mount Forest.
Police say nothing appeared to be missing from the business, suggesting the suspect(s) fled when the alarm sounded.
On March 28 at about 2:45pm, Wellington County OPP received a report of another break-in at a business on Main Street South in Mount Forest.
“It was believed that an individual gained entry and pulled open drawers,” police stated.
“The property owner believed the break-in occurred sometime overnight.”
A 17-year-old from North Perth was charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence and break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The teen is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
