Sweet water taste-tested in Toronto

Troll Bridge Creek Inc., of Arthur, continued its sweet success story at a recent showcase of its KiKi Maple Sweet Water at the Restaurants Canada show in Toronto.

After a taste of KiKi’s maple sap beverage, Arthur Potts, parliamentary assistant to Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Minister Jeff Leal said, “KiKi Maple Sweet Water is a great example of a homegrown, entrepreneur-led product which is making a difference in the marketplace.”

“We were very pleased to see this product win our excellence award recently, and look forward to its continued growth and prosperity. And it tastes really good too.”

Troll Bridge Creek CEO Keith Harris said having Potts “sample the product and recognize the value to Ontario producers is exceptional.”

Harris added, “We were the very first in the market anywhere, and the government of Ontario has been very supportive of what we have created, and we are very appreciative of that support.  We intend to keep growing our market and have this product of Ontario as the best maple water product in the world.”

The product was recognized in 2014 as a Premier’s award winner in Agri-Food Excellence.
