The Superstars Baton Club competed in Hamilton at its annual competition on March 4. Approximately 80 athletes from Arthur, Fergus, New Market, Oshawa, Bowenville, Hamilton, Burlington, and New York state attended this competition.
The teams Sweet Dreams (members include Alyssa George, Elsie Post and Makenzie Worton), Splish Splash (Amelia Green, Khloe Hall and Millie Schneiders), Should Be Dancing (Simone Arbour, Alexis Herriot, Hayleigh Homer, Morgan Hutchison and Sierra Smith), Grease Lightning (Maggie Fisher, Mackenzie Fraser, Annabelle Hodgson, Sierrah Pichette and Lainey Saunders), He Lives (Mackenzie Fraser, Hayleigh Homer, Shayla Logel and Alyssa George), Bare Necessities (Lexi McFadden, Ali Pratt and Kendal Winter) and Let’s Twist (Olivia Cayer, Destinee Faust, Jamie Green, Diane Mitchell and Jayda Saunders) all won first place.
Hand Jive (Lyla Kuntz, Shayla Logel, Chelsea McFadden, Katie Munn and Kylee Pringle) placed second.
Team 5678 (Jamie Green, Lyla Kuntz, Jayda Saunders and Lainey Saunders) also competed.
Many of the members competed in individual routines, taking home numerous top three placements.
The twirlers are trained by Krista DiStasi, Alyssa George, Makenzie Worton and Bailey Pinder.
