The Superstars Baton Club competed in the annual Ingersoll competition on May 14.
Approximately 60 athletes from St Mary’s, Arthur, Fergus, Thamesford and Kitchener gathered for the day-long competition.
The teams Cute Kitties (members include Destinee Faust, Jamie Green, Diane Mitchell, Jayda Saunders), Jellicle Ball (members include Alyssa George, Lauren Robb and Makenzie Worton), Little Princesses (members include Jocelyn Hutchison and Millie Schneiders), My Friends (members include Lexi McFadden, Kylee Pringle, Alexandra Pratt and Jadyn Worton), Hot, Hot, Hot (members include Mackenzie Fraser, Paige Johnston, and Shayla Logel) and Tutti Frutti (members include Simone Arbour, Brooklynn Bokor, Janelle Burns, Mackenzie Fraser, Morgan Hutchison, Annabelle Hodgson, Paige Johnston, Abby Post, Lainey Saunders, and Sierra Smith) all won 1st place.
Ice Cream Freeze (members include Alyssa Cunningham, Madisyn Gibbard, Shayla Logel, Chelsea McFadden, Grace Sinclair, Oksanna Zumbach) and Let’s Get Loud (members include Alexis Herriot, Hayleigh Homer, Skylar Irwin, and Melissa Ireland) all placed 2nd.
Individual results are as follows:
Brooklynn Bokor (age 10) of Arthur was 3rd in basic march and solo
Mackenzie Fraser (age 9) of Arthur was 1st in modeling and solo, 2nd in strut and basic march and placed 2nd in the Basic Skills Pageant.
Madisyn Gibbard (age 13) of Kitchener was 1st in solo.
Alyssa George (age 13) of Fergus was 1st in 3Baton, RT, modeling, 2Baton and solo and 2nd in strut.
Jamie Green (age 7) of Arthur was 2nd in basic march, best appearing, 3rd in solo and won the 7-8 Basic Skills Pageant.
Alexis Herriot (age 14) of Fergus was 2nd in solo, 3rd in modeling and won the 12-14 Basic Skills Pageant.
Hayleigh Homer (age 13) of Fergus was 1st solo, basic march, 2baton and strut, and 2nd in modeling.
Morgan Hutchinson (age 8) of Arthur was 1st in solo and 2baton.
Skylar Irwin (age 14) of Arthur was 1st Basic March, strut and solo, 2nd in modeling and 2baton.
Paige Johnston (age 9) of Arthur was 1st in strut and solo, 2nd in 2baton and 5th in modeling.
Shayla Logel (age 11) of Elora was 1st in Best Appearing, basic march, 2Baton and strut, 2nd in solo, and won the 9-11 Basic Skills Pageant.
Chelsea McFadden (age 9) of Fergus was 1st in basic march, 2nd in best appearing and solo, and 3rd in the 9-11 Basic Skills Pageant.
Elsie Post (age 11) of Arthur was 1st in 3baton, 2baton, solo, strut, modeling and RT.
Kylee Pringle (age 8) of Fergus was 1st in basic march and 2nd in solo.
Lauren Robb (age 17) of Fergus was 1st in 3baton, strut and 2baton.
Jayda Saunders (age 6) of Fergus was 1st in basic march and best appearing, and solo and 2nd in the 7-8 Basic Skills Pageant.
Lainey Saunders (age 9) of Fergus was 1st in solo and 3rd in 2baton.
Kaitlyn Wagg (age 11) of Arthur was 2nd in solo.
Makenzie Worton (age 14) of Fergus was 1st in strut and modeling, 2nd in 2baton, RT and solo.
The duet team of George/Worton placed 1st and duet of Homer/Irwin placed 2nd.
The twirlers are trained by Krista DiStasi, Lauren Robb and Makenzie Worton of Fergus and by Bailey Pinder of Teeswater.
