Twelve members of the Superstars Baton Club competed in Peterborough at the annual CNBTA National Championships on July 6 to 8. Approximately 120 athletes gathered to compete for the Ruby Cup, National Championship titles and Miss Majorette of Canada Pageant.
Mackenzie Fraser received four seconds and a third place finish.
Alyssa George received three second and two third place finishes.
Jamie Green received a first, a second and a third place finish and returned home the novice national x-strut champion.
Alexis Herriot received a second, a third and a fifth place finish.
Hayleigh Homer received two sixth and two eighth place finishes and returned home the beginner national 3baton champion.
Lyla Kuntz received two second place finishes and returned home the intermediate national solo champion and beginner juvenile Miss Majorette of Canada.
Shayla Logel received two seconds, a fifth and a seventh place finish.
Chelsea McFadden received a first, two fourths and a sixth place finish.
Elsie Post received a 2nd place finish and returned home the preteen national strut, RT and 2baton champion and the preteen Miss Majorette of Canada and preteen Diamond Cup champion.
Jayda Saunders received a first and a second place finish and returned home the novice juvenile Miss Majorette of Canada.
Lainey Saunders received two firsts, a fifth, a sixth and an eighth place finish.
Makenzie Worton received a third, a fourth, two fifths and a seventh place finish.
The teams “5678” (members include Green, Kuntz and Saunders) and “He Lives” (members include Fraser George, Homer and Logel) placed second in their divisions.
The trio “Sweet Dreams” (members include George, Post and Worton) returned home as the junior advanced trio champions.
The duet team of George and Worton placed second in their division while the duet team of Green and Saunders are the juvenile novice national duet champions.
