Sunday Concert Series held in Elmira

The Sunday Concert Series is held every summer Sunday evening from 7 to 9pm in Gore Park Elmira.

Admission is free but visitors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

The 2016 line-up includes:

– June 5:  Traditionally Wound – A six piece bluegrass band from Ontario;

– June 12: Rural Appetite – led by Glenn George on electric and upright bass and vocals by Pat Laroux;

– June 19: Ephraim Frey and Old Time Country – four-piece local country band;

– June 26: Naomi Bristow – 18-year-old singer and yodeler with Steve Pittico;

– July 3: Wayne Uncer and Git-R-Done – bluegrass band with Ann Uncer;

– July 10: Earl Fries and the Chaparrals;

– July 17: The Muir Family – Country music from Hillsborough and other Ontario points with Aaron Muir on vocals;

– July 24: Dianne and the Cavaliers – Celebrating 50 years of country music;

– July 31: Darin Parise  with Al Widmeyer – talented multi-instrumentalists and vocalist Anita Smith Parise;

– Aug 7: Lance Russwurm – celebrating his new album featuring country music;

– Aug 14: Gerald Davidson and the Country Versatiles – Davidson is celebrating 50 years of country performing this year;

– Aug 21: Emory Lester/Jill Jones Band – Bluegrass picker from Virginia, living in Canada.

– Aug 28: Southbound – four-piece country band with vocals by Rick Loucks; and

– Sept. 4:  Rhyme ‘N Reason – multi-award winners in Canadian bluegrass and gospel band.
