Summer Reading Club is back, and this year we’re inviting you to Check it Out! With over 300 programs being offered at Wellington County Library branches this summer, it’s easy to find something for everyone.
Check out special performances including visits from magicians, animal friends, musical performers and more. Check out our programs and camps with themes like Wardrobe of Wonders, Discovery Lab and Imagination Creations. Or check out our website to try out all the online resources the library offers including Mango Languages, Creative Bug and Kanopy.
While you’re in the branch, don’t forget to check out something to take home.
You can find board games, video games, Wonderbooks, Yotos and, oh yes, even books!
Beginning June 24, you can sign up for our Summer Reading Club. Collect brag tags and beads and earn ballots to enter to win one of the great prizes being offered. Every book read earns a ballot!
Summer reading is proven to help children maintain their reading skills by exercising their minds and increasing their knowledge base, not to mention helping to develop a lifelong love of reading.
Check out some of the hot new titles for kids at the library this summer:
– The Girl Who Loves Bugs by Lily Murray;
– The Boy Who Cried Poop! By Alessandra Requena;
– Woo Hoo! You’re Doing Great by Sandra Boynton;
– I Need a Hug by Aaron Blabey;
– Dog Man: Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea by Dav Pilkey;
– The One and Only Ruby by Katherine Applegate;
