The Gorge Cinema is teaming up with Riverfest and Sensational Elora this summer to present four movies under the stars in Elora’s Green Space at the corner of Mill and Metcalfe Streets.
The biggest box office hit of 1985 Back To The Future, starring Michael J. Fox, kicks off the series on July 25 and repertory classic at the Gorge, another comedy with Canadian roots, Best In Show, follows on July 26.
On Aug. 1 Riverfest headliner Charles Bradley is the fascinating subject of Charles Bradley: Soul Of America, a music-filled Best of Hotdocs documentary that explores his emergence as a soul singing star at the mature age of 62.
The following night, Aug. 2, promises a tasty treat with a Sensational Elora presentation of Chef, a comic tale of a disgruntled master chef who hits the road in a food truck looking for creative satisfaction.
This Food on a Plate event comes with a complimentary drink and offers moviegoers a chance to enjoy dishes from five participating local restaurants. Note that Mill Street West will be closed for this special event.
Tickets are $11 for adults and $8 for seniors, Gorge members and kids, and can only be purchased on-site.
All tickets for Sensational Elora’s Chef are $15 and can be purchased in advance at the Gorge Cinema or participating restaurants. All shows are weather dependent and begin at dusk – shortly after 9pm. Bring a comfortable chair.
