Take 2 Drama will be offering two weeks of summer arts/drama day camp at the Fergus Grand Theatre from July 13 to 17 and Aug. 17 to 21, 20 for ages 8 to 12 years.
Daily classes will run from 9am to 4pm to include warm-ups and cool-downs, vocal and movement exercises, basic dance fun, improvisation, musical theatre, drama techniques, skits, crafts, vocal, games, swimming one afternoon at the Fergus Sportsplex and lots more. No previous acting or theatre experience is necessary.
“We are pleased to have Deardra and Take 2 Drama providing this type of summer fun,” said Fergus Grand Theatre Coordinator Eric Goudie.
“I believe that offering opportunities in arts education for our community for students’ ages 8-12 years is an important part of the contribution a venue such as ours makes. This is the third session and we look forward to all of the talent Take 2 Drama provides.”
Director of Take 2 Drama Deardra Leslie added, “I am very excited to be directing these two summer sessions. It is really wonderful working with the Fergus Grand Theatre, to date, providing drama and movement classes to theatre enthusiasts from novice to Oscar ability in a theatre setting.”
The summer sessions cost $185 per person for a full week and when two or more children in a family register the cost is $170 each. The per day fee is $45. Space is limited.
