MINTO – A draft plan of subdivision for Breymark Homes has been delayed for a third time.
The town received conditional approval from the Wellington County in 2016, which required 27 conditions to be met for a 40-unit subdivision single-detached, semi-detached and townhouses.
The original deadline was set or the end of 2021, but was later extended to the end of 2022, following Breymark’s acquisition of the property.
A “redline amendment application” was then submitted, in addition to a severance request for second-phase construction of the subdivision.
The county granted approval for the second phase last year.
Because of delays related to the redline amendment process, council granted another extension until December 2025, along with a new approval date, at staff’s recommendation.
Ongoing discussions could lead to a revised subdivision design, and adjustments to servicing and traffic reporting.
