GUELPH – A Guelph man and woman face several charges after Guelph Police officers recovered a stolen pickup truck on March 8.
Police officials say officers patrolling the area of Stephanie Drive located a 2016 GMC stolen a few days earlier from Erin.
“Officers began surveillance on the truck and a short time later saw a man and woman approaching,” police stated in a press release.
“Both fled when they saw police. The woman was arrested a short distance away but the man ran through a nearby home and several backyards before he was finally caught and arrested.”
A 37-year-old Guelph man and 23-year-old Guelph woman are both charged with possessing stolen property (over $5,000) and occupying a stolen vehicle.
The man is also charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling and mischief under $5,000, while the woman is additionally charged with breaching probation.
Both were held for March 8 bail hearings.
