It looks like square dancing tractors will be in gear for this year’s Fireworks Festival in Mount Forest.
The recreation advisory committee meeting minutes noted that Ray Tout, Jackie Ferrier, and Sherry Burke representing the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival committee, were present and asked permission from the recreation committee to have the Square Dancing Tractors on the gravel part of the ball diamond at Cork Street on the Saturday of the Fireworks Festival.
They need an area 100- x 100-feet to do the show.
Tout said Mildmay and Teeswater have held the Square Dancing Tractors on their ball diamonds. Tractors dig 2-inches into the gravel area.
The committee moved that it allow the square dancing tractors onto the ball diamond’s gravel area.
Tout also asked about camping at the Fairgrounds during the Fireworks Festival. Twyla Hunter asked him to do a proposal for the committee, as well as to provide a site map of the property.
