A walking tour of artists’ studios here will run May 3 and 4 from 10am to 4pm.
Twenty-four artists who create in the heritage surrounds of Eden Mills will open their studio spaces for a show and sale the weekend before Mother’s Day.
Painting, sculpting, wood turning and carving, mosaic, pottery, fine jewelry, fibre art, photography are all represented in the eight locations open to the public.
In keeping with the goal of the people of Eden Mills to become North America’s first carbon neutral community, the tour is arranged so people can park and walk. All studios are within a short stroll. Enjoy the waterfall at the Millpond at one end of town and the quiet calm of the Carolinian Forest at the other.
There will be a tea shop in the old Eden Mills community hall.
Eden Mills is between Acton and Guelph within an hour’s drive of downtown Toronto, Oakville, Burlington, Kitchener-Waterloo and Orangeville. For more information, contact Chris Wilson at chris@hsfx.ca.
