St. Andrew’s Sports Camp in Fergus is running once again, Aug. 15 to 19.
The camp offers coaching in basketball, soccer and hockey for young people between the ages of six and 12.
Coaching in these Sports is being given by college-level varsity athletes, yet at an age-appropriate level for the young people in attendance.
The camp meets between 9am and 3pm each day at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fergus.
Ninety minutes of coaching is offered in each sport, and the remainder of the day is filled with smaller games, a bible study and Freezie breaks.
Children may be signed up for the camp by phone at 519-843-3565 or online at sucamps.ca/locations/st-andrews/. The fee per child is $100 for the week.
This summer marks the fourth year this program has been offered.
Previously, between 60 and 80 young people attended the camp, which has been noted to be a good setting for young people new to the community to connect with new friends.
