The 2017 Fergus Elora District Soccer Special Needs Soccer Festival is set to return July 8 from 12 to 4pm at Victoria Park in Fergus.
With soccer season right around the corner, the special needs soccer program has a few new items this year, such as:
– a bus pick-up from Guelph to pick up players and supporters so they can come to the weekly program. Transportation is a major issue for people with special needs, said organizers;
– the special needs soccer program is one of six organizations selected to benefit from the Curl for a Cause Bonspiel on March 25; and
– the list of participants continues to grow with players from more than 11 communities.
The 2017 Festival includes:
– Canada 150 celebrations;
– photo booth;
– Fergus Pipe Band;
– a magician, arcade games and live music;
– Christmas in July; and
– meet Murphy the Tooth from Grand River Dental.
