It was a packed hall performance as the Victoria Park Players brought the tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to life last Friday afternoon.
The pantomime play offered a somewhat unique perspective on parts of the traditional tale – including a bit of interaction with audience members.
Music was provided by the talented singers of the Victoria Park Ensemble.
If the audience had a blast during the performance, it seemed the players were having just as good of time on stage.
But as in all good tales, by the end of the production, Snow White had her Prince Charming and the evil queen’s plans were thwarted.
The cast of the Victoria Park Players in the production of “Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs” were:
Joan Brownlow – (Director) Sneezy
David Brownlow – (Scenery) Dopey
Snow White (costumes) – Lise Stewart
Gordon Gibson – Wicked Queen
Stan Fleming – Woodsman
Barbara De Roc – Doc
Kate Gregory – Happy
Bernice Nelson – Grumpy
Elizabeth Haythornwaite-Bashful
Fern Saunders – Sleepy
Robert Hamilton – The Pince
Barbara Stewart-Schienk – Mirroe.
Both before and after the play, members of the Victoria Park Ensemble provided additional songs in the spirit of the Christmas season.
