On March 9 at about 1:30pm, Wellington County OPP received a report of a shoplifter at the Hasty Market on Tower Street here.
Police say officers located the suspect in the driver’s seat of a stolen BMW.
Christopher Wilhelm, 44, of Hanover, was charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000), possession of methamphetamine and possession of break-in instruments.
He is to appear in Guelph court on April 13.
