A man was sent to hospital in serious condition after a chemical accident at a local business here last week.
On Feb. 10 at about 10:40pm, emergency responders were called to Trimac Transportation Services after what police call “a serious workplace accident.”
Wellington County OPP officers, Guelph-Wellington EMS and the Guelph Fire Department responded to the call at the business located on Wellington Road 124 in Guelph–Eramosa Township.
“A man was doing repairs to a chemical storage tanker and was exposed to nitric acid,” police said in a press release.
“He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.”
There was no update on his condition by press time. Police say the Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident.
