The return of September means crafting season is back – or did it ever leave?
CreativeBug is a crafting database available year round at the Wellington County Library, with thousands of free classes for all skill levels. The instructors in these online videos are experts on a variety of mediums. Categories include:
- art + design;
- sewing;
- quilting;
- paper;
- knitting;
- crochet;
- food and home;
- jewelry;
- holiday and party; and
- kids.
Sometimes the hardest part of starting a new hobby can be putting in the practice. To get some inspiration, check out the “daily practice” series on Creative Bug and challenge yourself to a month of making. There are over 60 series to choose from, and the prompts are the perfect way to launch your daily art practice.
See below for a sample of the free programming running this month near you. For a full list of programming, head to www.wellington.ca/LibraryCalendar. Search our event calendar, and register for programmes online.
