Living on Less is a free workshop program in Guelph and Wellington County.
There are many who have to or choose to live on less. They might have lost their jobs, be of low income, have taken early retirement, or simply chose to live a simpler life style.
People want to save money, live within their means, and take care of the earth.
Many that are struggling to live on less strive to maintain their dignity, self worth, health and good nutrition.
Living on Less is a free seven-week program helping people live on less income and reduce their environmental footprint.
It begins on Oct. 17 at 9:30 am for refreshments with the program at 10am to noon.
It runs weekly at St. James the Apostle Church, at Paisley and Glasgow Streets in Guelph. It is co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Guelph and other downtown churches.
Running since 2009, participants in Living On Less will develop their own spending plan and live on less with confidence.
Topics to be addressed are managing money, living within financial and our environmental means, eating on much less, keeping healthy and finding housing, employment and transportation, and creative gift giving.
