Science fair set for April 3

The 39th annual Waterloo-Wellington Science and Engineering Fair takes place on April 3.

The competition features approximately 235 projects and 300 students from 29 different schools from grade seven to 12 in Waterloo Region and Wellington County.  

Student’s projects will be judged in the following categories: biotechnology, earth and environmental science, engineering, life science and physical & mathematical science.

Winners will travel to the 2012 Canada Wide Science Fair in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, from May 12 to 19.

The one-day fair will be held on April 3 at Kitchener’s Bingemans Marshall Hall, in the main building, located at 425 Bingemans Centre Drive. The day will include an open house from 5:30pm to 7:00pm

The award ceremony begins at 7:15pm until 8:30pm.
