Savour the flavours of nature’s summer bounty at a farmer’s market in Fergus.
The market operates every Friday afternoon between 1 and 6pm in the parking lot of the New-to-You store at 950 St. David St. N. (Highway 6).
A dozen or more vendors offer locally grown and produced meats, fruits, vegetables, preserves, plants and flowers. On a warm afternoon you can enjoy a delicious local ice cream. The large lot provides ample parking for customers and vendors.
The New-to-You store is operated by the Groves Hospital Volunteer Association entirely for the benefit of Groves hospital in Fergus. Its normal 4:30 closing time has been extended to 7pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, the latter to accommodate farmer’s market patrons.
Friday afternoons in alternate weeks also feature the store’s auction of items of special historical or collectible interest or value. Drop in to the market, and visit the store and auction while you’re there.
