Santa Claus is coming to town – and he’s bringing a host of “Christmas Characters” with him.
Christmas Characters is the theme of the 2012 Mount Forest Santa Claus parade on Dec. 7.
This year’s parade will start at 7pm at the fire hall at the north end of Main Street and head south through the downtown to St. Mary of the Purification Church, located at 230 Queen Street East.
After the parade, youngsters can meet Santa at the St. Mary church hall. Face painting, hot chocolate and cookies will be part of the post-parade fun.
The parade will be coordinated once again by the Mount Forest Lions Club.
Club president Colleen Copland said entries are invited to participate in the parade at no charge.
“There’s no charge for the floats and the more the merrier,” she said.
