Find the story behind your food on May 31 from 10am to 4pm. Over a dozen farms, markets, gardens and restaurants in Mapleton, Minto and Wellington North will open their doors to the public for this self-guided tour.
This year, the fourth Annual Spring Wellington Rural Romp is themed around “Gardener’s Delight” and “Tastes of Spring.”
Participants will spend the day in the countryside meeting farmers, learning about community shared agriculture, participate in activities and wander through rural gardens. A local food lunch at one of the participating restaurants will be served en route and there will be a chance to shop for seedlings, plants and early spring produce.
Prizes will be awarded for the best Spring Romp photo in three different categories: farmscapes, family fun, and food. For more information, visit www.tastereal.ca
