GUELPH – The Rural Ontario Institute (ROI) and the Rural Development Network (RDN) are co-hosting the third Canadian Rural and Remote Housing and Homelessness (CRRHH) Symposium virtually from June 6 to 8. The event brings together experts, advocates, and community members to address one of Canada’s most pressing issues.
“The CRRHH symposium is the perfect opportunity for anyone passionate about addressing housing and homelessness issues in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities to come together, share ideas, and learn from experts and peers in the field,” RDN CEO Dee Ann Benard stated in a press release.
This year’s virtual and jam-packed program includes over 50 presentations and various keynote speakers, including Emily Wright and Joe Roberts, The Skidrow CEO.
Organizers say there will be numerous networking opportunities to help attendees connect, gain insight, and develop strategies for making a positive impact in their communities.
ROI rural hosuing information system project manager Kezia Cowtan stated it’s “crucial” organizations “remain aware and up to date” on how to address rural housing challenges.
On June 7, ROI will showcase the Rural Housing Information System, a digital tool to fill the housing information gap. Tickets for the event are available online at crrhh.ca/registration.
