HANOVER – The Cultural Roundtables of Hanover, Minto and Wellington North are inviting residents and local stakeholders to the Cultural Symposium on May 31 at the Hanover Civic Theatre.
This is the second joint meeting of the groups, following the first in September in Harriston.
The May 31 meeting is being opened to neighbouring municipalities, chambers of commerce, BIAs, cultural organizations and others.
“The event will be filled with insightful and engaging discussions as community leaders learn about cultural experience development,” officials say.
The event runs from 10am to 2pm.
The event will feature keynote speaker Malissa Bryan of the Rainbow Diversity Institute, who will discuss “Implementing equity, diversity and inclusion as community leaders.”
Also included will be:
– presentations from the Hanover, Minto and Wellington North Cultural Roundtables;
– lunch catered by Launch Pad Skills Training and Technology Centre;
– “cultural experience development,” led by Kim Clarke of Regional Tourism Organization 7; and
– an Ontario Culture Days interactive session led by Kaitlyn Patiences.
