Hospital support - The Rotary Club of Fergus-Elora recently presented a cheque for $11,080 to the Groves Hospital Foundation. It was the proceeds from the second round of the Catch the Ace progressive lottery, organized by Rotary and the Fergus Legion. From left are Rotary club co-president Dr. Bob Wright, Jim Gibbons (Rotary), John Martin (Legion), Groves Hospital Foundation executive director Lori Arsenault, Bruce McLeish (Rotary), Randy Graham (Legion) and Rotary club co-president Ed Davis. Rotary also presented the foundation with a $2,000 cheque, the proceeds of their 2019 Canada Day event. The Rotary Club of Fergus-Elora is one of the largest long-term supporters of the foundation, pledging $500,000 to the new hospital.
