Rotary Club of Erin expands public access to its Community Giving Program

ERIN – The Rotary Club of Erin has launched a new application process for its Community Giving Program (CGP), providing funding to local projects supporting the club’s mission to “Energize Erin.”

Non-profit groups, community organizations, and individuals are eligible to apply.

“I am so pleased to see our club launch this public grant application process,” club president Rob Wright stated in a press release.

“With the support of the community and our great sponsors, the Rotary Club of Erin has been very successful at raising funds which we put right back into the community in the areas where it’s most needed.”

The club has a long history of supporting and providing important services to the people of Erin, states the release.  It’s noted that previous fundraising efforts have supported the Grove Youth Centre, scholarships for local students, and community assets such as the Victoria Park Pavilion and the Rotary River Walk Trail.

The club has also organized community events and provided financial assistance to the local food bank and purchased a vaccine fridge for the East Wellington Family Health Team.

“Through our fundraising efforts, the Rotary Club of Erin will continue to be a pivotal contributor to the vitality and livability of Erin,” officials stated in the release.

“The club believes working with the community is the best way to make positive change.”
