GUELPH – Ren’s Pets has teamed up with Petcurean to deliver 3,000 pounds of pet food to the Centre Wellington Food Bank. The donation, facilitated by Food Banks Canada, amounts to 10,500 meals and includes food for cats and dogs.
“Pets are near and dear to our hearts and we’re happy to be able to provide so many meals to pets in need,” Scott Arsenault, president of Ren’s Pets, said in a press release. “We hope this donation helps to better the lives of pets in need.”
Kambria Newton, trade marketing and communications manager for Petcurean, said in an email that Ren’s Pets and Petcurean have a longstanding professional relationship, “and when they notified us of the need to help, we moved quickly.
“Since many people accessing food banks also have pets as part of their family, it made complete sense to offer dog and cat food to help broaden the range of supports they offer at Centre Wellington Food Bank. It’s Petcurean’s mission to put pets first, and we are proud to partner with Ren’s Pets to do that for families and pets in the region.”
