Parents and kids enjoying the acceleration provided by the Sizzler ride at the Erin Fall Fair. With good weather and a new entertainment strategy, the fair set a record with attendance of 26,175 people from Oct. 10 to 14 and Erin Agricultural Society (EAS) president Rod Perry said that was more than 15 per cent higher than the previous record set in 2017, and a big improvement on the attendance of 18,000 in 2018. He said there were many positive comments on the new Festival Gardens, a combined beer tent and musical venue that drew an estimated 3,000 visitors. Overall revenue was up 25% compared to the previous high in 2017. EAS has a survey, available at erinfair.com, for feedback on this year’s fair and suggestions for next year. Photo by Phil Gravelle
