On the weekend of July 18, Wellington County’s roads division construction manager Mark Eby will be participating in the 2015 Warrior Dash at Horseshoe Valley Resort just north of Barrie.
This marks his fourth time participating in the race.
Eby commented, “It all started out as four guys running the race to celebrate one of our birthdays. After two years of mud and sweat I am the only racer left last year and I am continuing the tradition this year again on my own.”
He added, “This year the race is a little closer to my heart as I will be running to raise money for SickKids Hospital. This all makes sense as my best friend’s son, Calin, was born three months premature and had to spent the first three months of his life in the London’s Children Hospital. ”
Eby said “So now I am running for Calin and all of his friends that he made at London’s NICU.”
