ERIN – Organizers are asking the community to join them in welcoming the RCMP Musical Ride to Erin.
Shows will be held Aug. 27 at 1 and 6pm, rain or shine.
Residents and visitors are invited to come out to see the world-renowned troop of 29 horses and riders perform at the Erin Agricultural Society/Erin Fairgrounds.
The show, which features a variety of figures and drills choreographed to music, provides the public with an opportunity to experience the heritage and traditions of the RCMP and raise funds for local charities.
The Erin Agricultural Society (EAS) previously hosted the Musical Ride in 2016.
“We are honoured to be once again hosting the RCMP Musical Ride at the Erin Fairgrounds,” said Eileen Brown, co-chair of the Erin RCMP ride.
“ Our entire community is engaged; many individuals, organizations and businesses have stepped up to partner with the Erin Agricultural Society to make this exciting event happen.”
The 2022 RCMP show also includes: Four Paws Flying Entertainment; The Fergus Pipe Band; a kids area with face-painting, mini horses and games; and food trucks and over 30 local vendors.
The show is a charitable fundraiser for the EAS and all proceeds will be directed towards a permanent agri-education building at the Erin Fairgrounds.
Tickets are $6 for kids and $15 for adults (plus HST and service fees). For more information and to purchase tickets, visit ErinFair.com or contact 519-833-2808.
