The RBC branch here was reportedly robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday afternoon.
On Aug. 1 at about 4pm the OPP responded to a report of a robbery at the bank on Main Street in Drayton.
Police vehicles with sirens activated were spotted driving quickly northeast out of Drayton on Wellington Street (Wellington Road 11).
Shortly thereafter, as Advertiser staff arrived, several OPP vehicles were parked in front of the bank and witnesses were being interviewed by police.
Police at the scene would not comment on the incident but a later OPP press release confirmed "a male wearing a disguise entered the RBC Bank with a weapon and stole an undetermined amount of cash."
Police say the man left on foot eastbound on Main Street.
One woman at the scene said she was in the bank with her three small children, when a man approached the adjacent teller with a gun.
The woman, who left quickly with her children, estimated the suspect is under 30 years of age.
Main Street was closed shortly after the alleged robbery was reported.
