Local police are once again dealing with a rash of break-ins across the county.
Among the most recent crimes are the following:
– a break-in at a business on Sideroad 17 near Wallenstein in Mapleton sometime between June 4 and 5, during which suspect(s) smashed a window, stole a set of keys and then took a black 2014 GMC pickup truck with “Kraemer Kitchen and Bath” on the side and Ontario licence plate AJ75147; and
– a break-in at another business in Mapleton, this one on the 4th Line near Glen Allan, sometime between June 4 and 5, during which suspects smashed a window and stole a cash register with $35 in cash and coins.
Police are reminding citizens to always secure their property at all times.
