Rainbow Chorus sets sail with “Songs in the Key of Sea” May 25

Fresh on the heels of successful participation at the Kiwanis Music Festival and Guelph’s first Gay/Straight Alliance High School coalition, the Rainbow Chorus of Waterloo-Wellington aims to close its busiest year ever with their highly anticipated annual spring concert May 25 at 8pm at the Harcourt United Church.

Songs in the Key of Sea features a variety of songs that speak and reflect of water as a force whether in the form of river, rain, or sea and the many ways in which lives are shaped and affected by it.

The program covers a wide range of genres, from folk standards such as Feller From Fortune and Northwest Passage, to the popular sounds of River of Dreams and Proud Mary.

A second performance of this program takes place at Knox Presbyterian in Waterloo, June 2.

Audiences have come to appreciate the fresh, energetic  approach and diversity in concert programming and under its present music director Annetta Whetham, the Rainbow Chorus continues to combine the contemplative along with comedic in a most colourful, entertaining way.

Advance tickets for either performance are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors/students and are available at Pretty Chic on Quebec St, Guelph Artisans at the Quebec St .Mall, Out on the Shelf (OOTS), in Guelph, Opus 11 in Kitchener, from members or through PayPal on the Rainbow Chorus website at www.rainbowchorus.ca
