WELLINGTON COUNTY – Warden Kelly Linton recently announced the recipient of the 2020 Luella Logan Scholarship.
The second annual scholarship award goes to Isabella Cain, who lives in the Township of Puslinch.
The Luella Logan Scholarship grants $1,500 annually to a young woman from Wellington County pursuing post-secondary studies in political science, public administration, or a related undergraduate or graduate degree at a Canadian college or university.
Selection of the scholarship recipient is based on academic excellence and demonstration of leadership and interest in local government.
“On behalf of County Council I would like to congratulate Ms. Cain on receiving the 2020 Luella Logan Scholarship,” said Linton.
“Ms. Cain already has an impressive political resumé and we all look forward to her future political contributions.” Cain is currently studying political science at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Luella Logan was the first female Wellington County councillor.
