Puslinch Township closing municipal office as part of ‘rapidly-evolving’ COVID-19 situation

ABERFOYLE ‐ The Puslinch Township municipal office will be closed as of March 17 at 9am.

In the township’s second March 16 COVID-19 announcement, officials cited the move as a one of the precautions “necessary to protect the health and well‐being of the public and [township] staff.”

Earlier in the day, Puslinch announced the closures of all indoor public recreational facilities until April 5.

Township officials are also asking residents to eliminate all non-essential visits to township facilities and use the internet or telephone whenever possible for items such as taxes, burn permits, dog tags, building inspections and recreation bookings/cancellations.

“The township intends to make every effort possible to uphold a strong level of customer service during this time,” states the second March 16 release.

“This includes continuity of essential services such as fire and road maintenance.”

Officials concluded, “This is a rapidly-evolving situation; discussions and decisions are being made on an ongoing basis.”
