ABERFOYLE – Puslinch Township officials are extending the closure of municipal facilities at least until January.
“Unfortunately, recent trends in positive (COVID-19) cases in Ontario are moving in the wrong direction,” states an Oct. 30 press release from the township.
Noting the municipality relies on the advice of public health professionals, officials say the following facilities will remain closed until Jan. 15:
- all washrooms and change rooms;
- the Puslinch Community Centre;
- the gymnasium at the Optimist Recreation Centre; and
- the municipal office.
The closures “will be continually reviewed in conjunction with [health officials],” the township release states, “to determine if an earlier opening is possible or if a further extension is required.”
Anyone using other municipal facilities should adhere to distancing requirements, officials say.
Township staff continues to serve residents by electronic means only; email services@puslinch.ca or admin@puslinch.ca or call 519-763-1226 and leave a detailed message.
Taxes can be paid through financial institutions via internet or telephone banking and burn permits and dog tags can be purchased online.
There is also a secure 24/7 mail drop box at the township office, 7404 Wellington Road 34 in Aberfoyle.
Officials say up-to-date information will be posted on the township’s website.
