PUSLINCH – Puslinch councillors and the mayor were paid a total of $147,196 in 2024 in honorariums, benefits and expenses.
That is up 7% from $137,593 in 2023.
Mayor James Seeley was paid an honorarium of $31,045, benefits of $2,243 and $249 in expenses for a total $33,537.
Each of the four councillors were paid honorariums of $20,869, and different amounts in benefits and expenses depending on their use.
The six members of the committee of adjustment were paid a combined total of $4,676 for their work.
The township also pays representatives to sit on other boards of directors:
- councillor Sara Bailey was paid $1,039 for sitting on the board of Conservation Halton;
- councillor John Sepulis was paid $1,035 for sitting on the Grand River Conservation Authority’s (GRCA) source protection committee;
- resident David Rodgers was paid $844 for sitting on Conservation Halton’s source protection committee; and
- Susan Fielding was paid $3,938 for sitting on Hamilton Conservation Authority’s board.
Municipalities are required to publicly report these payments under the Municipal Act.
The report was to go to council on March 26.
