Puslinch council appoints various committee members

At its last meeting of 2010, Puslinch council appointed members to various township committees as follows.

Heritage committee members (four-year term): Doug Mast, Don Aubin, John Levak, Mary Tivy, Marilyn Crow and Heather Krouskie.

Committee of Adjustment (four years): Barb McKay, Matthew Bulmer, Joyce Sharp and Colleen Sutton.

Puslinch community centre board and recreation commission: John Alexander and June Williams (two years), as well as councillors Ken Roth and Wayne Stokley (one year).

Property standards committee: (four years) all five members of council and clerk Brenda Law.

Planning advisory committee: Beverly Nykamp, Marilyn Fisher and Barry Lee (two years) and councillors Jerry Schmidt and Susan Fielding.

Steve Gilmour was appointed to Conservation Hamilton, Brad Whitcombe to the Hamilton Conservation Authority, John Brennan to the Grand River Conservation Authority and Fielding to the Bay Area Restoration Council.

Badenoch community centre: Stokley and Fielding.

For the next four years George Nap will be the pound keeper; Carl Bousfield, Norm Hughes and Bob Jefferson will be fence viewers; Nap and Heather Ferguson livestock valuers; and Gail Huether dog control officer.

Other appointments for 2011 included: Stokley and Schmidt to the Community Oriented Police committee, Roth and Stokley to the fire committee, Schmidt to the Wellington Farm and Home Safety Association, Fielding to the Halton Hamilton Source water Protection committee and the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network and the emergency management group, Stokely and Dianne Paron to the Nestle Waters well protection committee, Schmidt to the Friends of Mill Creek, Bulmer to the accessibility committee, Fielding and Stokley to the Puslinch Lake Conservation Association and all four councillors to the alternate mayor’s position (three months each).
