DRAYTON – The Drayton Harvest Festival on Sept. 18 will be a celebration of agriculture and rural life.
The event which runs from 1 to 8pm at the Drayton Fairgrounds on Elm Street.
Admission is by donation and there will be local vendors, including food vendors, on site.
Fair entries will be accepted on Sept. 17 from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the fairgounds. Categories include: leisure arts, culinary arts, fruits and vegetables, pickles and preserves, horticulture and youth section.
Pumpkin growing and sunflower competitions will also be a part of the event.
A Pumpkin Chuckin’ contest promises to be an entertaining event, as competitors attempt the longest toss using gravity-powered trebuchets with $500 in prize money on the line.
