Poor House cemetery exhibit opens June 27

The Wellington County Museum and Archives is officially opening the outdoor exhibit, The House of Industry Cemetery on June 27.

The exhibit tells the stories of the men, women and children who lived and died at the facility, a former “poor house” between 1877 and 1946.

The Poor House cemetery is located just east of the museum on the north side of Wellington Road 18, next to the Trestle Bridge. The official opening is June 27 at 3pm, with light refreshments to follow at the museum.
