Police seize close to $100,000 in meth; Mount Forest man charged

MOUNT FOREST – Police have charged a Mount Forest man after seizing nearly $100,000 worth of methamphetamines.

Wellington County OPP officials say an officer patrolling Main Street North in Mount Forest saw the driver of a sedan dealing drugs at about 11:15pm on June 19.

Peter A. Forschner, 58, of Mount Forest, was charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine) and possession of a Schedule I substance (methamphetamine).

He is to appear in Guelph court on July 23.

“Investigators seized nearly an estimated $100,000 in contraband, drug trafficking equipment and currency,” police stated in a press release.
