Police release photo of robbery suspect

Police are asking for the public's help as they continue to investigate an armed robbery at the Macs Convenience Store here.

OPP officers responded to an armed robbery call at the store on Elora Street South in Harriston on May 3 at around 4:55am.

Police say a lone male entered the store, presented a weapon and threatened the clerk and then fled on foot in an unknown direction with cash and cigarettes. No one was injured in the incident.

On May 7 the OPP released a photo of the suspect, who is described as a younger male, possibly in his mid-20s, five-feet, six-inches tall, and wearing camouflage clothing and a black balaclava.

He was carrying a black and white CCM hockey bag with bright pink handles and trim.

Police would not speculate on the type of weapon used in the robbery, but the photo suggests it may have been a long, black firearm or replica firearm.
