A number of vehicles have been stolen in Wellington County in the last week.
On July 21 Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a theft of a white 2005 Ford F150 pickup truck (licence plate 1714FE) from Watson Road South in Puslinch. The keys were in the vehicle, which was stolen sometime overnight, police say.
Two days later a white 2013 Ford F150 pickup truck (licence plate ALLBECUZ), also with the keys inside, was stolen overnight from Maltby Road East in Puslinch. On July 25 police located the vehicle abandoned on Watson Road South, near Arkell. The truck was not damaged but the licence plates were taken.
On July 25 the OPP responded to a report of a theft of a white 2008 Chevrolet Express van (licence plate AL77864) from Highway 6, north of Guelph. Police say it was taken sometime between July 22 and 25. The vehicle was recovered the next day on Speedvale Avenue West in Guelph.
On July 26 at about 3:35am, OPP officers responded to a report of a truck stolen from a residence on Jones Baseline in Centre Wellington. Police say the owner interrupted at least two unknown males in the process of stealing two trucks from the property.
The males fled in one of the trucks, heading north on Jones Baseline. The white 2007 Dodge 2500 mega cab pick-up truck (licence plate AK33374) was recovered on Schuett Road in Ariss. It was not damaged but the licence plates were removed.
