Police are looking for information after two area teens were approached by a “suspicious” man.
The OPP is investigating to determine if there is a link between the two incidents, which occurred within five days of one another and at similar times of the day.
On April 3, a “young teen girl” was approached by an man at about 8:30am on Sligo Road East in Mount Forest, police say.
The man is described as “sturdily built” with brown hair, a beard and mustache, wearing a white/grey ball cap, grey hoody and driving a green truck.
Four days earlier, on March 30, a young teen was approached by a man at the intersection of Sideroads 49 and 14 in Southgate Township, less than 14km away from the April 3 incident.
“While stopped at the intersection … the driver spoke to a young teen that continued on their way to school,” police stated in a press release.
The driver is described as male, 20 to 30 years old, with scruffy dark hair and a dark moustache, wearing dark-coloured clothes and a baseball hat and driving a dark-coloured pick-up truck.
