Police dealing with rash of vehicle entries

ERIN – Wellington County OPP received numerous calls about vehicles being entered overnight on June 16 on Waterford Drive in Erin. 

In all cases the vehicles were unlocked. Owners reported wallets containing cash and identification being stolen. One victim reported $1,000 in cash stolen.

GUELPH-ERAMOSA –  On June 21, Wellington County OPP received numerous calls from citizens reporting theft from unlocked vehicles overnight.

The thefts occurred in the area of Ridge Top Crescent, Guelph-Eramosa A bike was also stolen from an unlocked shed in the area.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Wellington County OPP officers canvassed residences in the vicinity of the Beslyde Cemetery in Fergus on June 23 in regards to a rash of break-ins and vehicle entries.

“The OPP have been investigating an increased amount of reported thefts in the block boarded by Union St. East, Scotland St., Belsyde Ave. East. and St. David St. South,” police stated in a press release.
