PALMERSTON – On May 27 at about 6:50pm, Wellington and Huron-Perth OPP officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Inkerman Street in Palmerston.
Police seized a quantity of methamphetamine valued at about $8,000.
“As a result of the investigation an arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect,” police stated in a press release.

Stolen trailer
ERIN – On May 30 at about 9am, Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a theft from a business on Shamrock Road here.
Police say that at about 4:10am someone operating a silver “dually” pickup truck entered onto the property, backed up to a 2020 RV trailer, connected it and drove off, last seen travelling westbound on Sideroad 17.
The suspect is described as male dressed in black with his face covered with a hood/balaclava.
The suspect vehicle is a silver “dually” pickup truck with a large dent in the rear right quarter panel over the tire, running boards, an eight-foot bed with liner, no back seat in cab, no tailgate and has rear mud flaps with a bar holding them on.
The stolen RV trailer is described as a 2020 Salem 32 BHDS, unplated, silver, tagalong worth approximately $33,000.

Drunken dust-up
PUSLINCH – On May 28 at about 7:55am, Wellington County OPP officers and Guelph-Wellington paramedics responded a 911 call at a residence on Roszell Road here.
Police say two intoxicated individuals known to each other were in a physical confrontation and one received facial injuries.
As a result, Andrew John Chambers, 25, of Cambridge, was charged with assault and is to appear in Guelph court on Aug. 4.
Drunken destruction
FERGUS – On June 6 at about 9:45am Wellington County OPP responded to a report of arson and mischief at an apartment building on Forfar Street East in Fergus.
Police say that at about 2am “an intoxicated individual caused damage to a newspaper stand inside the lobby by smashing it and set a barbecue on fire that was outside the building.”
Gordon Evan Holwerda, 28, of Fergus, was charged with arson and mischief under $5,000. He is to appear in Guelph court on Aug. 11.
Intoxication, drugs
WELLINGTON NORTH, – On May 31 at about 3:15am Wellington County OPP responded to a 911 call from a pay phone on George Street in Arthur.
“Officers patrolled the area and located a heavily intoxicated person in a paranoid state nearby and placed them under arrest for public intoxication,” police stated in a press release.
During a search police located a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine.
Jeff Grein, 59, of Wellington North, was charged with possession of methamphetamine. He is to appear in Guelph court on Aug. 4.
Trio charged
LISTOWEL – A Mapleton man is among three charged after a recent traffic stop here.
Shortly before 10pm on May 28, a Perth County OPP officer pulled over a vehicle for an alleged driving violation on Binning Street West, in Listowel.
“Through an investigation, it was found that two of the occupants were breaching conditions, and one was found in possession of methamphetamine,” police stated.
Bradley Martin, 38, of North Perth, was charged with: possession of Schedule I substance (methamphetamine), failure to comply with a release order and failure to comply with a probation order.
Tracy Dolmage, 39, of North Perth, was charged with failure to comply with a release order.
Jeffery Scott, 44, of Mapleton Township, was charged with failure to comply with a release order.
The accused individuals are to appear in Stratford court at a later date.
