FERGUS – A Fergus man has been charged with assault in connection with an incident here last week.
Wellington County OPP officials say police responded to a reported assault on Elora Street in Fergus on Sept. 30 at about 7am.
Blake Cook, 36, of Fergus, was arrested and charged with assault. He is to appear in Guelph court at a later time.

Mischief charge
FERGUS – Police have charged a Guelph woman with mischief after someone damaged property here.
Wellington County OPP officials say police were called to Gordon Street in Fergus for a mischief complaint on Oct. 3 at about 2pm.
A 29-year-old Guelph woman was charged with mischief (destroys or damages property). She is to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 8.
